Coming up next on the Wild Cards Podcast, Tilloâs CEO and Founder, Alex Preece, sits down with James Little, Group Commercial Director of TopCashback and self-proclaimed âAffiliate Philosopher.â
Those in affiliate marketing will know how much of an impact James Little has had on the affiliate sector - helping to co-found and organize Brighton SEOâs free-to-attend Affiliate Huddle, which brings together more than 1000 affiliate marketers each year.
James is now the Group Commercial Director of TopCashback and, over the past 11 years, has seen their UK site grow from 750,000 users to one with more than 15 million members from across the globe.
Episode 3 of Wild Cards explores James' story, from a diagnosis of dyspraxia at school to discovering his love for computers and finding his passion for affiliate marketing.
âI was terrible at school, if iâm honest. I got one c-grade GCSE which was in geography, which I obviously really use a lot today⊠and I came out and thought, what do I want to do? And I was always really interested in computers my dad brought home a computer when I was like ten years old or something like that, and I would always be tinkering around with it. So I felt that IT was the career for me because it was the only thing at the time that I felt I was kind of very good at.â
The episode also takes a look at what it took for TopCashback to become one of the worldâs leading cashback websites, unpacking the importance of company values and highlighting the impact that remaining true to a simple set of core principles can have on the business.
âWhen you look at our founders, their core principle is their âfair play policyâ, and that drives what they try to do as a business.â
âWhen I joined, I started at the London office and joined to head up our partnerships team in the UK. And there was a reason at the time why that wasnât called a sales team, and there was a reason we called that a partnerships team because it was all about building those long-term relationships with clients; it wasnât just about selling stuff.â
Founded in 2005, TopCashback is now the UKâs largest cashback website, with a rapidly expanding footprint in the US and globally. Every five seconds, someone uses TopCashback to save money, and with a mission to be âthe most generous cashback company in the worldâ itâs easy to see why.
