🤠 Howdy! I’m Arnie the Armatillo – and I’ve officially joined the Tillo team.

Yep, you read that right – Tillo has a mascot. And not just any mascot… a Texan armadillo with a heart full of optimism, a shell full of team spirit, and a mission to surprise and delight wherever he goes.

Let me back up a bit and tell you how I rolled into all this.

🐾 From inside joke to brand icon

I was born (well, imagined) during a brainstorming session with the Tillo Product Team. Someone jokingly said, ā€œShould we have a mascot? Maybe an armadillo... or Armatillo?ā€ And instead of letting it go, they ran with it. And here I am.

Why an armadillo, you ask? Well, for starters, armadillos are native to Texas, just like Tillo’s US HQ. But that’s not all. We’re also known for our tough, protective shells (some are even bulletproof), which felt like a fitting nod to Tillo’s rock-solid tech – strong, secure, and built to scale.

Oh, and bugs? We eat those for breakfast. 🐜

Like me, Tillo may be friendly on the outside, but underneath the surface, there’s serious substance. We’re agile, adaptable, and not afraid to dig deep – whether that’s solving a tech challenge or rolling out something new to make our partners smile.

🧔 What I represent

I’m not just here to look cute on a cookie (although, let’s be honest, I absolutely nail that brief). I’m here to represent everything that makes Tillo different. Our people, our purpose, and our promise to always put smiles first – whether that’s in our product, our partnerships, or our Slack channels (I’ve got my own emoji. Big deal).

Here’s how I roll when it comes to The Tillo Differenceā„¢ :

  • People: I’m all about being warm, friendly, and supportive – just like the Tillo team.
  • Technology: My shell? Strong, secure, and built for protection. Just like Tillo’s platform.
  • Customer Service: I exist to make people smile – inside and outside the business.
  • Industry Leadership: I may be soft on the outside, but I’m built to lead with resilience. And maybe a little Texas swagger.

āœˆļø My first few adventures…

Since joining the team, I’ve been everywhere. I flew to Barcelona for the IMA Summit (my first time on a plane – no pressure). I tagged along to Pay360 in London, where I brushed shoulders with Tinie Tempah (he didn’t ask for a selfie, but I could tell he wanted one). And I’ve made plenty of cameos across Tillo’s internal world – from plushie prototypes to cookies, and even top-secret merch in the works.

Whether it’s trade shows, Google Meets, or being smuggled into someone’s suitcase, I’m all about bringing a little to Tillo’s day-to-day – and yours too.

šŸŽ‰ What's next for me?

This is just the beginning. You’ll be seeing a lot more of me – on swag, at events, in support emails, and probably in a few selfies I didn’t ask to be in.

Mascots aren’t just for kids or cereal boxes. In a B2B world that can feel a bit too buttoned-up, I’m here to add a little warmth, a little weirdness, and a whole lot of personality to the Tillo brand.
